"Englishman in Zoo"
The visit to the ZOO of Prague was also great from the beginning on the 14/11/2022. We left the school right on time, at 8 in the morning, walking downhill. The day was sunny and not that cold.
The guys and girls from 6.B were divided in 5 groups of 4 people. The teacher made the groups for them to meet and get to know different people. Each group, with a captain, had an english worksheet consisting on a game to make pictures to different animals. They were asked to stick together in the group and to speak in english all the time. Teachers set up a meeting point and meeting time, as well as some rules.
In my opinion it was a success because they had a lot of fun, got involved in a game in english, made new friends and respected the animals, their colleagues and the people surrounding .
They seemed very happy and impressed by some animals. Congratulations to them.
This is what Katia wrote, as the captain of her team
"On Monday, November 14, my class and other classes went to the zoo. We walked and in the meantime we all talked about different topics but we only had to in English so it was a little more difficult. When we arrived at the zoo, the teachers divided us into groups in which we had to work together on one task and after fifteen minutes we went to the zoo and looked at beautiful and especially interesting animals.
Our group's favorite zoo animals:
Katka: I enjoyed the most that the whole group bought hot chocolate and trdelník (I was the only one who had a hot dog). My favorite animal was the african shoebill (In the Czech language: člunozobec africký) and the animal is in the first photo.
Franta: He liked that we went through the zoo alone. His favorite zoo animal was De Brazza's Monkey (In the Czech languange: kočkodan Brazzův) and the Animal is in second photo
Vojta: He didn't tell me what he liked or his favorite animal.
Kuba: He didn't tell me what he liked or his favorite animal."
